| ACADEMIC STAFF DEVELOPMENT GRANT |
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks proposals for individual professional development/training opportunities that contribute to the needs of the institution. Such opportunities enable staff to increase their effectiveness by expanding knowledge in their areas of expertise, developing skills, and enhancing morale. Applications may be submitted anytime.
Applications must be submitted by the 1st of each month for review at the next meeting of the Academic Staff Professional Development Committee. If the 1st falls on a weekend; proposals must be submitted by the following Monday. The Committee will meet monthly October 2008 through April 2009. Applicants will receive award notifications by the 1st of the following month (at the latest). [For example, you submit a proposal on April 1st; formal notification of the status of your proposal will be provided by May 1st.] All award funds must be used by 1 June 2009.
All project funds, which includes travel, housing, meals, and other expenses related to the project, must be expended before 1 June 2009. Proposals requesting travel support must conform to all campus and System policies and procedures. Travel Expense Reports submitted after 1 June 2009 will not be reimbursed. Prepayments for travel taking place after 1 June 2009 will also not be reimbursed. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
