| WISCONSIN ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION ACT (ESEA) IMPROVING TEACHER QUALITY PROGRAM [Updated 16 June 2010] |
The University of Wisconsin System seeks proposals aimed at increasing student achievement in the English language arts, mathematics, science, foreign languages, social studies, art and design, dance, music, and theatre, by improving the teaching and principal quality at the K-12 level in Wisconsin's public and private schools.
Priorities for the 2010 competition are:
Improve student achievement in reading/language arts, mathematics, and science, and increasing the quality of teaching in all core subjects for ALL students; and
Improve collaboration between higher education arts and teacher education faculties.
Student achievement data and teacher quality data must be used in preparing a proposal.
