| SUPPORTING THE GROWTH AGENDA ACTION STEPS [Updated 8 March 2010] |
UW System seeks proposals to support and advance the Growth Agenda Action Steps. The 2010-2011 academic year funds will support projects in the following categories:
Strategies that improve retention and increase degree attainment at the undergraduate level
Collaboration with PK-12 community to enrich college preparation in the area of Mathematics (Funding for new proposals or equal match of campus funding, up to $50,000, for continuing projects funded in FY2009-10)
Development of a Student Engagement Portfolio, enabling students to represent curricular and co-curricular activities
Focus on Inclusive Excellence through expansion of High Impact Practices (learning communities, first-year experiences, capstone experiences, and undergraduate research) targeted at underrepresented students.
NOTE: All UW System institutions are eligible to apply and up to two proposals per institution will be accepted. If more than two UWW proposals are developed, applications will be reviewed internally by the Academic Development Committee (ADC). The ADC will make recommendations to the Provost, who will select the campus’ proposals to be submitted to System for funding consideration.

APPLICATION NOTE: Budget requests for fiscal year 2010-2011 are limited to a maximum of $100,000 per project. Collaborative proposals across disciplines, schools, colleges, or institutions are especially encouraged.
